What you need to know about the peoples of Mexico, if you decide to relax in this country, I will tell you in this article. Believe me, you should know some information about this country that is told to all tourists when leaving the plane and in hotels.

And by the way, if you do not know which resort to choose, then I have an excellent article not only about resorts in this area, but also a list of coasts where you can have an inexpensive vacation by the sea, be sure to read this material for your next vacation it will be useful.

Peoples of Mexico

I'll probably start with the history of the emergence of the peoples of Mexico. It turns out that the Mexicans were formed from two races - the Mongoloid race (Indian peoples) and the Caucasian race (Spaniards). In most cases, a mixture of both races predominates in Mexico, but a mixture of other peoples also predominates.

Coming out of the plane, you are given a few tips for behavior on the territory of Mexico. The customs and behavior of Mexicans towards tourists is somewhat different than, for example, among the Jordanians. Mexicans do not like tourists very much, walking at night or walking in non-tourist areas can be your last walk in the literal sense of the word.

You should be afraid of the mafia, or in another way they are called the Spanish - Mexican diaspora, which are dangerous under the cover of night. I was lucky, firstly, I slept at night, and secondly, I never had the chance to encounter this contingent while walking through the residential areas of Mexico.

I will say more, I was able to see in this country extremely positive features of smiling aborigines. If we take separately the Mayans (the Mayan tribe), then you will see always friendly, smiling, giving energy and a positive charge of mood of people.

They are very kind, they love rumors and gossip, they talk a lot in their own language, I did not understand anything, but it was interesting for me to see the most ancient species of people alive. Despite the fact that all Mayans live in their bungalows, they are very clean, they like to arrange holidays for any reason and they take life very lightly, as if they live one day.

Mores and traditions of Mexicans

All the traditions of the Mexicans have been honored since ancient times, all the customs of the Mexicans have two directions - these are ancient Indian traditions and Catholic traditions. One of the ancient traditions here is shamanism. Many tourists come here to see a real shaman, but unfortunately not many people manage to see this, since shamanism here is not an pastime and a show for tourists.

As for the tradition of organizing holidays, this is my favorite pastime among the Mexicans, walking around the city, passing by different cafes and courtyards, every day you see fun, dancing and good mood, it's just in their blood. Moreover, you can easily get to such a get-together, any tourist is welcome in such festivities. So I went to a cafe to drink a glass of cold tea and offered to have fun until the morning.

After dancing for several hours with my guide in a noisy company of Mexicans and drinking a wonderful drink called tequila, I was interested in what this drink is made of. The next day, I asked my guide to take me to a tequila tasting and show the whole process of making this drink, I already wrote about this on my trip to the plantation where real tequila is made.

As my guide told me, the entire population of Mexico is very clean, despite what is shown in the movies. At all business meetings, Mexicans always come in ties and clean shirts, they also believe that clothes should be neat.

They were very struck by their attitude to medicine, especially to abortion, they hardly do it here, and if they do it very rarely. That is why many Mexican families have three or more children. Mother's Day in Mexico is a revered holiday, here it is held on May 10, and as for families, the percentage of dysfunctional families, according to statistics with Russia, is several times less here.

All Mexicans are polite, if you hear a compliment or a positive gesture in a conversation with a Mexican, it is a sign of respect, such a Mexican tradition. Tourists here are usually called senora - married women or senorita - young girls. Be sure to thank you as a sign of a compliment, if you don't, a very big offense will follow.

Another very amazing Mexican tradition that came and still lives in Mexico is the Temazcal bath, about this tradition and what awaits you in the bath, I wrote a separate and informative article, I advise you to read it.

As I already said, Mexicans traditionally like to arrange holidays and the most important tradition at such a holiday is the right to a company guest to say a toast and make a tasting of a freshly prepared national drink - tequila or wine.

But drunk Mexicans, in comparison with Russia, you are unlikely to meet here, although at parties they drink as much as I drink for the whole year, apparently their body is already accustomed to drinking a lot of alcohol, but still after drinking the Mexicans feel quite acceptable. As for entertainment, Mexican nightlife, then you should definitely get acquainted with the Coco Bongo nightclub in Cancun.

The traditional word “death” here does not have the same concept as we have in Russia, here this word evokes fun and positive, for this word, according to Mexican traditions, even a holiday called “All the Dead's Day” has been invented.

As for shamans, I have already said that this type of activity does not catch the eye of tourists, all shamans live far from people and noise. Shamanism in Mexico is well developed, especially in the eastern part, it is to us that the real servants of the ancient Indian traditions conduct rituals.

And a little more about traditions in Mexico. In all houses, the guest is not allowed to take off his shoes, here, on the street, at home, they walk in shoes without hesitation, and no matter what the weather is outside, the Mexican tradition will still work.

All Mexican people are very amazing, you especially notice this when you start to join the non-tourist life of Mexico. Like all other peoples of the world, the traditions of the Mexicans are very different, I will have a separate article about this, but a little later.
