Where to have an inexpensive vacation in the winter of 2020-2021 by the warm sea abroad

Where is the best place to relax in winter abroad? Where is the warm sea? And where is it inexpensive and you don't need a visa? All this can be found in Southeast Asia, where we spent several winters in a row. Based on personal experience, we have compiled a selection of countries where you can go for an inexpensive vacation in the winter of 2020-2021.

Which countries are now open

This review is not about where you can fly to vacation abroad now, but simply about the best inexpensive beach destinations. Only a little more than a dozen countries are still open for recreation. The choice is small, but at least something! We really hope that even more destinations will open by winter. The cost of rest in the review is indicated for the last winter. When the borders open, we expect similar or even lower tour prices.

At the moment, Russians can fly on a winter vacation to these countries:

• Cuba
• Maldives
• Tanzania
• Egypt
• UAE (Dubai)
• Mexico (with transfer)
• Dominican Republic (flights are expected to open)

These are countries with warm climates where you can swim. In Egypt and the Emirates, it is a little cool in winter, but the rest of the directions are tropics, and there is real summer there. Also, Russians can fly to several more southern countries, where it is cool in winter and a beach holiday is impossible: Turkey, Abkhazia and Montenegro. With a transfer via Istanbul, you can also fly to Morocco.

Vietnam

Vietnam is our love at first sight. This is the best place to relax in winter abroad by the warm sea. We have already celebrated the New Year there three times.

Benefits: very cheap, delicious food, nice people, unique culture, great hotels (even for $ 10), abundance of attractions, good beaches.

Minuses: public catering sanitation is a weak point of the Vietnamese. However, this applies to almost all of Southeast Asia. If you disdain to eat with locals in street cafes, choose more expensive establishments.

Winter weather. During the winter months we lived in all regions of the country: in the center (Da Nang, Hue, Hoi An), in the south (Phu Quoc, Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, Nha Trang, Dalat, Mui Ne and Phan Thiet) and in the north (Hanoi, Halong). Read about winter vacations in Vietnam >>

So, it is best to have a rest in winter in the south of Vietnam, because the rainy season is there in summer: Phu Quoc, Con Dao, Mui Ne and Phan Thiet. The air and water temperatures are approximately the same +25 ... + 28 ° С. Nha Trang is fine too, but in December some days are rainy and windy, and there are also waves at sea. Things to do. Tourists devote the first days to a lazy beach vacation, and then go on excursions. There are a lot of them, from short sightseeing tours to two or three days to the north of the country. We rent a bike and ride around the neighborhood.

Beaches. Vietnamese beaches are good, but they can hardly be called paradise - go to the Maldives or Seychelles for these. However, there are white sand beaches here too: Bai Sao in Fukuoka and Zoklet in Nha Trang.
