Ufa is over 400 years old. Therefore, it is not surprising that there are many interesting monuments here. Some of the monuments are dedicated to the national Bashkir poets, sculptors, and artists. All of them are the pride of the Bashkir people.
Another part is devoted to Russian and Soviet writers, politicians and other famous personalities. A separate group should include the monuments dedicated to war heroes, participants in hostilities in hot spots. Monument to Salavat Yulaev
The monument was erected in 1967 at the highest point of the city. This place is located above the Belaya River. The author of the project is the famous sculptor Soslanbek Tavasiev and this is his best work. The monument is dedicated to the famous historical figure Salavat Yulaev, who lived during the time of Yemelyan Pugachev. Here he is depicted on a horse, and the height of the sculpture is about 10 meters. Bronzed cast iron was chosen as the material.
Friendship Monument
This monument was opened in 1965 on the banks of the Belaya River. A granite staircase leads to it. The monument is dedicated to the annexation of Bashkiria to Russia. Made in the form of a granite obelisk, which has a height of 35 meters. There are two figures next to the obelisk. They represent Russian and Bashkir girls. The monument is engraved with words about the friendship of the Bashkir, Russian peoples.
Monument to Mustai Karim
Located in the city center. Its author is sculptor Andrey Kovalchuk. The monument is dedicated to the famous Bashkir writer who wrote and worked during the Soviet era. The sculpture is about 6 meters high. She is placed in water, which symbolizes continuity. In the foreground is the figure of the poet looking forward. Monument to Alexander Matrosov
Installed in the park. Lenin in 1951. The monument is dedicated to the hero of the Great Patriotic War, Alexander Matrosov. Installed in Ufa, since before the war Sailors lived in this city. Monuments to V.I.Lenin

Monument to Heroes of the USSR Alexander Matrosov and Minnigali Gubaidullin

Monument-plane MiG 19P
This monument was unveiled in the courtyard of the Aviation University on Karl Marx Street in 1974. This is a real plane, which is the first Soviet supersonic interceptor fighter. Monument to F.E.Dzerzhinsky
It is located in the center of the square of the same name, next to the building that previously housed the KGB.The monument was opened in 1987 in honor of the 70th anniversary of the October Revolution. Its author is the artist Albert Charkin. The monument is cast in bronze. Dzherzhinsky, who was a famous statesman, chairman of the Cheka, was made here in full height and installed on a granite pedestal.
Monument to Miftakhetdin Akmulla
The monument was inaugurated in 2006. Timed to coincide with the 175th anniversary of the great poet and thinker Miftahedin Akmulla. It was installed in front of the State Pedagogical University. This is a joint work of the architect Damir Magafurov and the sculptor Vladimir Dvornik. The monument is cast from bronze. Monument to F. Chaliapin
Installed next to the State Academy of Arts, where this legendary singer made his debut at the end of the 19th century. It was here that his artistic career began. The sculpture was installed in 2007. It is made of marble and is a joint work of the artist R. Khasanov and the architect K, Donguzov. Here the singer is depicted in his youth, at the beginning of his career. Therefore, his gaze is full of expectation.
"Grieving mother"
Installed in 2003 on Komarova Street near Victory Park. This is a project of the sculptor N. Kalinushkin. And the memorial is dedicated to all the soldiers who died in "hot spots", who are natives of Ufa. The basis of the monument is the outline of the house, in the center of which stands the figure of the mother. She covered her face with her hands and mourns the loss of her son. On the nearby steles are carved 685 names of the dead men who gave their lives for peace.
Monument to A.S. Pushkin
It was manufactured in 1938. Initially, the monument was located on the Pushkin alley of the square, which is located near the Opera and Ballet Theater. In the 1970s, it was moved to a specially prepared place in front of the House of the Actor. At the moment it is located on Pushkinskaya Alley, next to the 3rd building of the USATU. The author is the sculptor V. Domogatsky. And this monument is made of concrete. It is a small bust mounted on a pedestal.
Monument to M. Kalinin
This monument was erected in 1973 at the very beginning of the culture and recreation park of the same name. Made in full height and installed on a large granite pedestal. The monument is dedicated to the famous statesman of the Soviet era. Unfortunately, both the monument and the park are now in disrepair. And near the sculpture itself there is a tram ring.
Monument to the Victims of Political Repression
The monument was unveiled in the same way in 2000 in the park of the 50th anniversary of the Victory. This is the work of the sculptor Yu. Soldatov and the architect L. Dubinsky. It is a bronze sculpture in the form of a mother with a child, installed on a small granite pedestal. Behind it there is a stele with a height of 6 meters. It is made of Karelian stone. The stele has a commemorative inscription in Russian and Bashkir languages. There are fresh flowers here almost all the time.
Monument to a soldier of the Great Patriotic War
The monument was erected in the park opposite the Kalininsky department store. Its height is about 6 meters. The monument is made of reinforced concrete and covered with bronze paint. Dedicated to all veterans of the Great Patriotic War. This sculpture depicts a soldier sitting on a bench who recently returned from the war. He is dressed in a tunic and a garrison cap.
"House of the marten"
This sculpture was unveiled in 2010 on the Day of Family, Fidelity and Love. It is made of bronze. Its author is the sculptor Halit Galiullin. The sculpture is dedicated to the marten. She is the official symbol of the city of Ufa. But it is also a symbol of the hearth. The monument is a tree that serves as a pedestal on which the house is located. Two martens live here. One of them is depicted on a tree, and the other looks out of the house. Newlyweds often come here.
Monument to surveyors
In 2016, this monument was solemnly opened next to the building of the State Register Office on Krupskaya Street. The author of the project is Halit Galiullin. The monument was made of bronze and installed on a small granite pedestal. It is devoted to the work of surveyors who make maps, carry out the calculations necessary to describe the terrain. The sculpture represents two surveyors at work.
"Open book"
Installed in 2014 in the Gafuri public garden. Dedicated to everyone, regardless of age, who is drawn to knowledge. This sculpture measures 3x5 meters. Installed on a small pedestal. It is an open book in which poems of the famous national poet Mazhit Gafuri are written in Bashkir and Russian.
"Three screws"
The monument is located in the city center, in an alley next to the National Library. It was installed in 2013. This monument is a kind of symbol of the city. After all, the word Ufa in Bashkir is very similar to "three screws". Therefore, three balls are depicted here, which visually resemble screws. This is a favorite place for young people, as there are several universities nearby.
Alley of modern sculpture "ArtTerria"
Its opening took place in 2016. The alley is located in the historic center of the city near the National Library.
